My Life-My Choice
My Life – My Choice Limited provide a wide range of services and support to children and young adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities and sensory impairment at their specialist facility, The Big Blue Door.
Working to support the families and by following care plans, the values and ethos of the centre provide a supportive environment for the children and young adults attending the Big Blue Door, ensuring that every one of them is treated with the utmost dignity and respect at all times.
About the Big Blue Door
The centre is located in a residential area of Oswaldtwistle, on the outskirts of Accrington, and provides flexible support, outreach services and care packages 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 52 weeks per year.
The centre is spread over three floors, facilitated by a lift, there are 8 overnight respite beds, a large activity room with a selection of toys, books and games and a small dark area and soft play area/sensory room.
Home-cooked meals and snacks are provided for all who attend the centre, and the children and young adults are encouraged to indicate their preferences.
