Remote Sales Representative - Full-Time

Our client is a dynamic and growing freight forwarding company offering tailored global shipping solutions across air, sea, and road transport. Committed to efficiency and customer satisfaction, they support businesses of all sizes in streamlining their export and logistics operations. As the company expands, they are seeking a motivated Sales Representative to help drive lead generation and business development which will in turn support Liverpool, Manchester, Birmingham, and additional distribution hubs in the surrounding areas.


Role Overview

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Sales Representative to join the remote sales team. This full-time, home-based role will focus on identifying and qualifying new business opportunities across the North West region, supporting Sales Managers by booking qualified appointments.


The ideal candidate will have a solid background in sales, preferably within the freight forwarding or wider logistics industry, and should be comfortable with the terminology commonly used in shipping and export operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Make daily outbound calls to UK exporters, introducing freight forwarding services.
  • Utilise regional knowledge and ability to make introductions and build rapport with clients – assisting to create inroads with key contacts at local businesses.
  • Accurately log all interactions and lead activity in Cargowise CRM.
  • Qualify prospects and pass quality leads to Sales Managers for follow-up.
  • Achieve weekly KPIs, including: call volumes, leads generated, appointments booked, and conversion rates.
  • Participate in daily team huddles and weekly pipeline reviews.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Incoterms, shipping practices, and freight forwarding industry trends.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in sales, inside sales, or lead generation (preferably within logistics or freight forwarding).
  • Solid understanding of logistics or freight industry terminology is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of Incoterms and international shipping procedures preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems; Cargowise experience is a strong advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with a confident and professional phone manner.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and comfortable working independently in a remote setting.


Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive base salary: £30,000 DOE
  • Commission structure to be discussed with candidates

Salary: £18,000 - £24,000 per annum (as a pro rata salary) + commission to be discussed with candidates.

Start date: Immediate starts available for successful applicants

Working hours: Part time

Working pattern: Typically, 24 to 32 hours per week, Monday to Friday with flexibility of working between 3 or 4 days for successful applicants (working pattern to be discussed at interview stage)

Skilled Welder-Fabricator

A new permanent job opportunity for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join a growing team at a leading global manufacturing company, that 

specialises in high-precision machinery. As part of the production team, you will play a crucial role in fabricating and assembling high-quality 

components used in advanced industrial equipment.
 

Responsibilities

  • Perform MIG/TIG welding on various metal components, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Conduct inspections to ensure welded structures meet their specifications.
  • Operating welding and fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with the production team to meet specific project deadlines.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work environment while following health and safety guidelines.


Experience required

  • Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
  • Ability to read and work from technical drawings and specifications.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety regulations.
  • Relevant welding qualifications or certifications are preferred.


Benefits / Hours

  • Hourly rate: £17.20 (£35,776 per Annum) + overtime available paid at time & a half
